A systematic review of clinical trials looking at the impact of red meat intake on risk factors for cardiovascular disease was published in this month’s issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition [1].    Investigators found no statistically significant, nor clinically meaningful differences in blood pressure, Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and total cholesterol:HDL ratio.
